Blood sugar balancing really is simple? Let me explain. Refined carbohydrates translated means simple sugars. Simple sugars are quickly broken down in the digestive tract leading to rapid spikes in blood sugar. Within hours the spikes turn into cravings.
Then these sugars are stored as fat (for later use) if they are not
burned for energy right away. Thought? You don’t want that hanging around your body! One reason why some people can’t seem to lose weight! The carb turned sugar turned FAT! A vicious circle at best!
So what can you do to keep your blood sugar balanced? Stop the junk carbs like chips, breads or any other processed foods that raise blood sugar like crazy (and FAST!) and then come crashing down within hours leaving you feeling irritable, tired, craving crap and feeling scattered. Just have balanced meals!
Try a meal complete with carbs, protein and fats, your macro nutrients. Like a green salad with lots of colored veggies and generously sprinkled with olive oil and hemp seed hearts (protein). If you are a meat eater then some pastured chicken or boiled egg slices.
You can feel GREAT!!! All day every day when you preplan your meals instead of waiting to get hungry and then diving for anything that falls out of a package!
